The Unlucky House

We just put House #13 (turned out not to be House #13) under contract!

And boy, am I getting lazy with my house names…since this is #13, we’re just going to call this one The Unlucky House and hope that it’s just a name and it’s not reflective of what’s to come… 🙂

While we paid a bit more for this property than I would have liked ($58,000, though my initial max purchase price was $55,000), it’s in a very good location, and the house appears to be in great shape for a 25 year-old house. It’s a 3 bedroom, 2 bath two-story ranch built on a slab foundation, with a converted garage that could either be considered a fourth bedroom, a media or room or a playroom. And there is a detached garage and workshop behind the house with a nice, fenced-in yard.

Here are some BEFORE pictures of the house…

It’s been a busy few weeks…after picking up The Deja Duplex and The Sunglasses House two weeks ago, we picked up The Mini House and The Unlucky House over just the past few days.

We close on all four this month, so we’re scrambling to get our Scope of Work docs put together for each, get our contractors lined up, and trying to figure out schedules for completing all of them in as little time as possible.
